Lent Mid-week

During the five Wednesdays in Lent, Ascension will hold "Dinner Church."  Dinner will begin at 6:00pm with worship to follow.  Dinner and worship will be held in the Fellowship Hall.  The Lenten theme for these services is: "In View of God's Mercy." The specific themes are as follows:

March 1 - Mercy in Suffering

March 8 - Mercy in Temptation

March 15 - Mercy in Betrayal

March 22 - Mercy in Relationships

March 29 - Mercy in Service

Holy Week Worship and Activities

April 1 & 2: Palm Sunday 

Procession of the Palms and reading of Christ's Passion according to Matthew 

(Normal worship times of Saturday at 6:00 pm and Sunday at 9:30 am)

April 6: Maundy Thursday

Seder Meal at 5:30 pm (please sign up on trifold bulletin board); Worship with Holy Communion at 6:00 pm

April 7: Good Friday 

Stations of the Cross at noon; Service of Tenebrae at 7:00 pm

April 8: Easter Vigil 

Worship with Holy Communion, Baptismal Remembrance, and Special readings at 7:00 pm

(Saturday evening worship attendees: PLEASE NOTE the time change for this week only)

April 9: Easter Day, the Resurrection of our Lord

Worship with Holy Communion at 8:30 am and 10:30 am

(Normal Sunday worship time of 9:30 am will RESUME on Sunday, April 16)
